Are you a writer? Do you have an idea or topic that you feel strongly about regarding Otafest, anime, or anime conventions? This is your chance to get your voice heard within the Otafest community. We are calling for all our interested Otafest peeps to write brief pieces of literature in the format of stories, how-to guides, poems, articles, or any other form of creative writing. All entries will be published on the main website. And if selected, some of them will be published in the guidebook for 2013!
Due to space limitations in the guidebook publishable length is limited to around 250-1000 words to fit a few pages in the guidebook. Articles that exceed this amount, such as fan fiction, will still have a chance of being in the guidebook in an excerpt format with full article information being located on our website. Please note that content must be original, this means it cannot be posted anywhere else.
Deadlines and Grading
Please submit your works via the form on this page below. Make sure your submission is in either text or word document format. The official deadline for the contest is March 18, 2013 (11:59:59 PM). Your literature submission will be graded on content and relevance, clarity of voice, and word and language choice. For a look at previous year's entries please visit our wiki.
