Driving to Calgary

Calgary is served by the Trans Canada Highway from West to East and Alberta Highway 2 (Queen Elizabeth Highway) from North to South.

Flying to Calgary

Air Canada, WestJet, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta, United, KLM, and British Airways all serve the Calgary area.

Travelling to downtown from the Calgary International Airport:

Taxi service is approximately $35 – $45 (before tip)

Calgary Transit provides bus service to downtown on route 300 for $9.50. The bus leaves the airport at :05 and :35 each hour running from 5:30 AM to 12:00 AM MST.

Returning to the airport on Calgary Transit is $3.00.

Canadian Visas

American citizens do not need a visa to enter Canada. A passport is required for entry.

Starting March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid visa.

Entry requirements for other methods of travel (land, sea) have not changed.
