Giovanna and Yasha are the creators and maintainers of the oldest and largest Shoujo Kakumei Utena fansite on the internet, Empty Movement. Over its sixteen years in existence, Empty Movement has been a primary resource on the internet for artwork, analysis, scripts, and other resources that have helped and inspired literary critiques, fanworks, cosplayers, and curious fans alike. It’s also been a venue for discussion, transformative works such as art and fiction, and a planning space for large ventures including translation projects for the Utena light novels, the game, and the newly-released manga. Nozomi involved Empty Movement and its forum in the production of both the DVD and Blu-ray releases stateside, for input, access, and information. Both Giovanna and Yasha remain active in the fandom on their forum, Twitter, Tumblr, and their (invite-only) Discord, and both of them are happy to see that the Utena fandom is still going strong, even after twenty years.
